He’s grinning like a maniac, eyes flashing from behind red-tinted shades as he lets the young blood slip their paws around his torso. He struggles weakly, putting on more of a show than anything as he watches the gleam of victory-in-sight alight in their eyes as they pin him to the ground, claws sinking into the soft arena sands on either side of him. He knows he has them right where he wants them as they lean down, baring their fangs in his face in triumph when his struggles stop. For a breath, all is still - - - their eyes locked together, bodies panting with exertion A bark of laughter laced with madness shatters the air around them like a strike of lightning, startling the creature above him - - - and he watches, mirthfully, as their eyes widen a split second before they realize what he’s about to do.

One of the perks of being the personification of a living, breathing noodle is the ability to twist, twirl, and slip his way out of any situation. Their claws, sunk deep into the sands in a non-tactical move blinded by pride and the promise of victory, don’t pull out fast enough to catch his tail end as he slithers out of their grasp. He’s still snickering as he watches them struggle to release themselves, looping figure eights above their head - - - so close yet just out of reach.

“You’ll have to do better than that if you want to beat me, kiddo.”

He could finish them off, end the fight and call it quits for the day. They’re not paying him overtime for this, anyways. But he’s just having too much fun to make this easy.
