1) I love this skin. 2) I think he gets really lonely sometimes but doesn't know why. He left people behind as he aged, either because he outlived his mentors or outgrew his friends. Now he has no one to take tea with or share his old stories to, not even grandkids, and sometimes he gets a little sad. What's the point of centuries of knowledge and jokes if you don't have anyone to share them with?
