Biography

Last Seller
She was only minutes old when her parents were exalted, this child had no place to go. She was stuck in the marketplace, surrounded by mobs of dragons wanting to buy. She was with her few brothers and sisters when it happened. Dragons all around the world were ready to pick them up and take them home for training. Then, a black shape came out of nowhere. She was scooped up and rushed to the sellers, paying them the money that was due. In the dragon's arms, she was high in the sky. It wasn't long before they left Hewn City and entered the Shifting Expanse of the Lightning Territory. There was an odd-looking tree ahead and it looked as if they were going to ram straight into it but- it opened. The dragon pushed a button that activated a door and they flew right in. She was dropped onto a large, soft pillow and bounced onto a flat, metallic surface. The dragon that had been carrying her had run into the shadows of the room, observing with their purple eyes. (That's odd,) she thought. (Don't Lightning dragons have Cyan eyes?) The eyes blinked then began moving to her left, a small red-colored hand poked out of the darkness followed by a steel-colored arm. (This dragon has the Rune Tertiary Gene, I could use that later.) It pulled down a small lever, the room was filled with whirring sounds and small hums. She was 43 minutes old now and still had no idea what was going on. A metallic squawk was heard from one corner of the room, the tundra turned her head for a second then whipped it back at the thought of seeing the mysterious dragon make another move. It did. It all was a blur but she swore she saw the outline of a Fae's ear fins. A Top Hat rolled onto the floor as it dropped from the speedy dragon's head. "No. You're not supposed to see me." "Why?" The hatchling replyed. "Because... It's a secret. I can't tell you." "Can't or won't?" "You're smarter than I thought. That's both good and bad... Both. I don't need you telling everyone that I exist. Well, they know I do they just can't know who I am. Do you understand?" "Yes sir! Ma'am?" "You may call me Sir, Doc, whichever. What may I call you?" The dragon flipped another lever and pushed a button. "I don't have a name. My parents never gave me one." "I see. It says here on, your record, your parents were called to serve under the Lightweaver minutes after you were born. You and your 2 brothers and 2 sisters were sent to the marketplace to find a home. Now, your prices were very small and it's a good thing I got there on time. Or you would've been someplace else getting, ready to train for the rest of your life." "Yes, that is true. There something wrong with training?" "N-No. It's just that- well- *sigh* Let me explain. Let's say that there was a hatchling in the marketplace, like you. They were being sold for a very small price at... 2300 treasure pieces. That hatchling would be bought almost immediately! Some parents need their hatchlings to go to other homes fast, that's usually the main reason this happens. Now there's a large chance that that hatchling is going to a Training Camp. Most of the time, the hatchlings are sent to the Hibernation Den to wait and grow. The thing about Hibernation is that when you fall asleep, you don't know when you'll wake up. So when you are woken, you could already be an adult. Days, months, years could pass and you wouldn't know it. You would be sent into training immediately! Once you gain enough experience, you'll be sent to the deity of that territory, the marketplace, or sent to another lair and be exalted there. The terrible thing about it is that you don't have a chance to live life to the fullest. You don't have friends or a family. Just training and then leaving. This happens every single day you know. Dragons sent off without having a family to make their lineage grow... It makes me sad sometimes. But I know that there's a chance that that hatchling could be taken into a small, happy place full of very few dragons or very many. They could welcome you and take care of you, help you start a family, and so many other things! There's also a chance that you could be taken into a terrible home with terrible dragons that will do unspeakable things. I know a dragon who does that... Now that place is not here, mind you. You will have a good life here." At that last note, Doc flipped the final switch, powering on all sorts of mechanical devices. All the lights buzzed on, revealing a small Fae with Steel-colored Python patterns, and Sunshine-colored wings. He wore a Spiffy Tailcoat and had a Redbolt Construct flying about. It was connected by a red, electric wave to a Gauntlet on his left hand. "I will make sure you don't remember me. It won't hurt, just a bit fuzzy. Try not to speak to me, or think. Those memories will be lost as I'm in your view. If you want to talk, close your eyes and look away, it's simple." The Tundra obeyed and turned her head. "What are you going to do?" "Nothing harmful! No, no. I'm not Vincent. Nothing like him. I won't hurt you, I just need some information. Now, how does the name Heulwena sound? Do you think it fits you?" "I like that name. How will you get my information?" "That is a secret, my dear. As I said before, I can't risk you telling The Others when you meet them. Now, hold still. This device will calm your mind and prevent stress. It's mandatory for what'll be hooked up to your head."
A ringing sound came from a desk nearby, Doc put down the device he was holding and picked up a small cube. "Yello?" "Hello? F.? Your brew is ready!" "Alrighty! Thank you Baldwin, I'm in the middle of something at the moment and is a little tied up. How long could you hold it?" "Uh- Not long. I have a long line of costumers right now and some are from your village. Should I sent it with one of them?" "No thanks. I'll send C10N to pick it up. Wha'd I get?" "I'd tell you but it's gonna be a surprise. I need to go, should I send the Cube back with the material?" "Nah, keep it. I'm sending another thing you can dump in." "Why don't you just buy a Cauldron yourself? You already have all that machinery down there so why not get a Cauldron to go with it?" "I would but I can't risk blowing up the place. I'm still kinda new and I'm still learning not to do that. Besides, you're the best at this sort of thing! I'll talk to you soon." The Fae pressed a button on the cube and set it down. He muttered something and grabbed a pen and a small notebook. "What'cha doin'?" "Writing about how my day has been as well as measurements." "What are my measurements?" "Length is 1.21m, wingspan 1.01m, and weight is 5.34kg. Why?" "What are yours?"
"I’d rather not tell you. Specific details of my existence will be erased anyway. I think it’s about time I grab another hatchling. He could be a friend to you... Do you have a preferred name in mind?" "I dunno. Anyone by the name of Khusus would be nice. It means Special, right?" "Yes it does. I’ll be back, CION will watch you. Do be careful with him, he’s an old creation of mine and I don’t want to spend more materials than intended. As much as I love tinkering and repairing, I’d hate to see my friends hurt."
