Ruby was the last to leave her parent's side compared to her other siblings who all scrambled out as soon as possible. She wanted to be sure she learned all of their fighting skills, and was just a bit unsettled from learning her kind lived their lives alone. The task of also finding her charge was also daunting. She didn't want to spend decades finding it, but she knew her kind wouldn't appreciate a chargeless Guardian. The Guardian came across Clover when she spotted the sap from his small roost up in the trees. A small slip of his toes and some sap covered wings caused him to fall, but not before Ruby sprang in to save the Fae dragon. After helping him wash the sap off, the two decided to look around the Gladeveins until they found an area to settle. Clover, having no fighting experience, often perched on Ruby's shoulder or head when they travelled at night. However it turns out Ruby was terrible at distinguishing poisonous species of food from safer ones, so the Fae would help her forage for something to eat. It took some time for both of them to get along, with not only a difference in species but a very large difference in height. Ruby sometimes forgot Clover and would frantically search the forest until she found him again. Clover would also forget that Ruby was still searching for a charge and would help her carry items until she lost interest. |

In the midst of training alongside Vicino and Sagebreeze, something clicked in her soul. This was it! Her charge was training dragons in the art of battle and self defense. From there, her efforts to ensure the other's saftey swelled, but it was kept under check thanks to Clover, who would ease the Guardian into taking breaks for her own well being. Soon afterwards, they finally found their home, a canyon in the Laurel Grove close to a river, and containing a massive tree with a large hollow. Clover and Ruby claimed the hollow, and the Dandelion Burrows was born. Ruby and Clover, having bonded over the last months or so, found themselves unable to part from the other's side. After some encouraging talks from Flow, both had a quiet mating ceremony held under the large tree, with Flow officiating. Sometime afterwards, they had their first hatchlings, and look forward to raising more. |

Ruby likes spending her time teaching young ones to properly train, fishing in the rivers closest to the camp, and sleeping close to Clover every night, even when he makes small peeping noises in his sleep. Ruby doesn't like eating insects, much to Clover's dismay, but she still finds one inside her meals. She also doesn't like the summer heat, and instead of training or patrolling the area, she sits in a stream or a mud wallow. Ruby doesn't like Raptorik warriors as one had snatched up her meal when she was younger. Despite this, she tolerates her familiar, a stormclaw showman called Moonrazor. |
