Crescendo is a former disciple of Ashera, the Celestial who oversees life. He was exiled due to his greed and lavish lifestyle, exercising his power over those beneath him to fuel his wealth. However, by the time he was condemned, Crescendo had already gained the power he needed--becoming one of the most fearsome of the Celestials. He believes that the world would be much better off without deities and gods, seeking to replace them with himself. Crescendo is condescending; a ruler that turns to underhanded methods to expand his territory and conquer those around him. His goal is to find or forge a weapon capable of slaying deities and gods. He believed he was successful when he found and deceived Maka for many years, but failed to keep her within his grasp.
