"Please enter commands."
"What?"
"Commands. Tasks. Jobs and rules."
"What are you talking about?" They look at Fallen strangely; "you get hit in the head when those other mobsters tried to mow ya down?"
A silence; confusion. "Please... Tell me what to do."
"Well, we saved your life. So you wanna do us a favor in return?"

From the Sepulcher: Pinkerlocke Dragon
Day 28
Last. Last one. It was the last one, unless there were some way to ensure the broodmother would lay again. It was, like its siblings, programmed to tend this structure. The one that, in the tongue of dragons, was called by a series of names, all which had the same root definition. [House of the Dead].
The single PAWN was not the sort to grieve for the loss of its broodmates. It had, after all, produced its own offspring. Halflings, who would fit in poorly in the world of dragons, and which were not so easily programmed as it was. Half dragons, who would be able to act as in-betweens in this strange community that had sprang up around the house of the dead.
They were Fallen, the two guardian-kin creatures, each. All the children here, whether of its own blood, or of the blood of the dragons, were Fallen. It knew that much, at least.
