☁️ nephelle (200g base - 1.8kg genes - 63kg apparel - 5kg accent - 1kg art)

- the beckoner.

- like azurite, nephelle is a cloud spirit, formed from the sky and the sunshine. not of this earth. her many, many wings flutter even in an imperceptible breeze, and her voice echoes through dragons' heads, even from afar.

- unlike azurite, she is outwardly soft-spoken. it seems strange that this kindly spirit would go along with a plan to sacrifice dozens of the living. but nephelle harbors a grudge, one which she only shows to those with whom she is closest.

- nephelle is not real. she is too insubstantial, too elegant. if you tried to reach out your hand, it feels like it would just wave through her, like trying to touch mist. the slow movement of all those layers of wings and jewelry is almost hypnotizing... her eyes gaze blankly into yours, and something is changed. you can't quite tell what.

- you're disoriented, and you're somewhere. like you've just woken up from some kind of dream... but it's the middle of the day, much too early to sleep, and you don't remember being tired. something is off, but now's not the time to ponder all that. you have a goal.

- there is someplace you have to go.

- where? why? those questions might pass through your mind, but you don't really think about them. it feels like you already know... though of course you don't. but a certain direction calls to you, so you begin flying.

- your story came too late for your fate to be in her hands. nephelle has given up on meeting those that she calls - it is not this spirit that you will face today. but long ago, someone else experienced something very different.

- she was a normal dragon, far from the world of spirits, but a lonely one. throughout her travels, she met many dragons, but none of them really met her. as nephelle watched her journey from the clouds... well, you know how the cliche goes. she grew attached.

- like you, that wanderer felt a strange tug toward a certain place, and she began traveling on that instinct alone. but this time, nephelle had not yet learned her lesson, and she descended to the earth to meet the dragon that she loved and sweep her away into the clouds.

- but mortals were not made for the spirit world, and the person nephelle brought with her was not the same as the one she had watched for all that time. her spirit was too weak, and the journey up had left her dizzy-eyed, ethereal, and empty-headed.

- eventually, nephelle had to let go, but what has been done cannot be undone. lanae still wanders the sky, lost, without her corporeal form, and nephelle grew bitter toward the physical world. after all, it was their weakness that had led her to lose what she loved. now she lives with the others in the teahouse, drawing victims to that same fate that she had once inflicted unintentionally.

All your dragons have such nice accents, and outfits but I love Nephelle specifically because that's one of the best piebald dragons I've ever seen :O

I like how light and soft her color combination is and how her apparel/skin make her pop in a much more striking way. She seems so icy and intimidatingly beautiful in a very eerie way. Kind of like standing outside at midnight watching soft snowfall alone. I honestly never would have thought someone could pull off that gene combination so well either. Nephelle is magnificent.
