FREY Undertaker

“You’re hiding something.”

Ruggiera shot a glance to the half-undead wildclaw standing in front of her bedroom’s door. She was nervous. Very nervous. While the wildclaw didn’t look frightening nor disgusting - as one of her friends said - she perfectly knew that the one standing not too far away from her wasn’t someone to mess with.

Frey grinned, pulling the few muscles of her jaw she had left on her face to show her lower set of teeth, the one not yet fully denuded of their flesh by her clear decay. Her empty eye sockets, dark and deep as death itself, showed only very tiny white dots, the only way her soul could stare at the mortal world. But in that moment they were only focused on the wary Skydancer.

“We all have something to hide, Princess. Even dead people. They have so many secrets, I know it. They whisper everything to me while I shove their flesh six feet underground. That’s quite fun actually.”

“You’re insane” Ruggiera made one more step back, her tail hitting the hilt of her cutlass placed on the floor pillow. She gave a quick glance at it mentally planning every possible move in case that thing attacked her.

“Now now, there’s no need of violence. I came here in peace, if my intentions were different you would already have whispered to me all your tiny little secrets” Frey giggled, her voice had a feeble echo. The wildclaw sucked a bit of air through her nasal bone, making it crawl inside her almost empty skull before releasing it into the enviroment again. She stretched her shorter legs a bit before reaching the book she had bound to her hip. The second Frey opened it, an almost transparent spirit appeared from its old paged. She pretented to browse its pages but in reality she already knew where to find every spell and ritual; the caressed the page with her claw, making the blood-written text glow.

“Now, Princess. Shall we begin what you asked for?”
