"Hue Man is the titular main protagonist of Hue Man on Earth. His story focuses around his life as an alien hoping to integrate with human society, in order to escape from his old life as space dictator.
In spite of being a self-made powerful figure over different planets. He views the past he built up for himself to be a long, devastating blow to his character, as it never gave him the unconditional love from others and fulfilling life he’s always wanted. Thus, he wishes to pursue his desires by trying to seek out for his own “found family” and anything that could solidify his “redemption”. He abandons his own colony, in search for a collection of people that would welcome him despite any mistake he may make.

Hue is hired by an alien stranger, named Honey Lemon, and her fiancée, Tomia Magdalena to be their personal housekeeper, as a way for Hue to have immediate shelter upon arriving to Earth.
From there, he gains the closest connections to two human teenagers that happen to be the children of Honey and Tomia. He befriends Magni Cyrus (Honey’s kid), but gets on bad terms with Clyde Magdalena (Tomia’s kid); both finding interest in Hue being a newly arrived alien settling down on Earth, and wishing to understand him better.

Hue Man’s name was chosen by his own self out of a whim, when questioned by Tomia Magdalena on what his name was. Hue Man is a play on the word “human”, as an alien pretending to be just that.
The spelling of Hue was chosen for the thematic purposes of color usage within the story. To describe Hue as a shade/color is to refer to Hue as a part of art; something to be used to be made into anything someone else wants him to be."
