As a young foundling of the Earthshaker, Zoeya was slow to come into her power. She was indecisive and careless and allowed the three brothers who led her clan dictate her choices for many seasons. As a mirror she crossed the sea with them, moving from the Shrieking Wilds to the Shifting Expanse and was slow to understand why her heart yearned for more.

Eventually she left them, striking out on her own to travel across Sornieth. In her travels she developed her skills on the battle field and became a great warrior. She came to the Icewarden's domain and stayed for many seasons, engaging in great battles across the ice. In that time she took her first mate of her own choosing, a tundra with a great brown coat and a mane as snowy as the white-out days of the worst of the Icefields' storms.

There too she first heard of the clan at The Crossroads. In an engagement she fought beside the Ice-born Imperial Etory who would on occasion leave the Tangled Wood to battle for the Icewarden's glory. In time she traveled back with him. Once there, coated by the magics spun by the strange Fae Rillduen, she came to realize that there'd always been a Search in her heart and that from hatching she'd always been destined to fight for the survival of Sornieth and the gods against the chaos of The Shade.

Accepting the sorceress's help, Zoeya allowed herself to be transformed into a great guardian warrioress so she could better do battle against all that threatened her clan and her world.
