The first light-bringing sip is where he was born. The cool autumn morning while you were shivering, the wintry evening while the fire crackled, these were his birth environs. From the warmth and mental clarity of a hot cup of your favourite coffee he came to life, the coffee-coloured dragon. He was smaller than his peers, but sweeter and kinder. A bit bitter, a bit warmer.

Espresso is a big and bumbling sweetie, and often trips and makes mistakes. Don't give him your own cup of coffee, as he's likely to drop it. If you see him coming, take a whiff. He should smell like freshly roasted coffee beans. The fluff on his tail keeps his nose warm on wintry evenings. The scarf is an old memento... or is it?

In the next first sip of your favourite coffee, in between the moment of freedom from the loud world and the moment of waking purity, watch out for the birth of another warm-spirited creature. In coffee? Here there be dragons.
