Arwen was born to Elrond and Wistful, two coatls of a clan in the Great Furnace. Arwen grew up being doted on by her father, who did everything possible to keep her safe. He taught her the art of silver and gold smithing. Arwen grew to be skilled at both, especially with small, delicate pieces. As she grew older, though, her father's affections grew to be stifling. Despite her love for him, Arwen eventually made the decision to leave the clan to find someplace new.


Her trip was precipitated, in part, by meeting Aragorn. Falling in love with the other coatl, Arwen began meeting with him secretly despite knowing that her father would not approve. The two made plans to elope together only to be separated leaving the Blacksand Annex. Arwen spent some time searching for him before finally reluctantly settling down in the Hotaru Clan.


Finding that the clan did not already have a metalworker, Arwen volunteered. She began making her signature pieces in the hope that one day her lost love would find her through them. During her time with the clan, Arwen has begun working closely with Chalcedony. While the older dragon puts on a tough front, Arwen bonded with him over their mutual love of the craft. She makes the base pieces while Chalcedony inlays gems and other precious stones. Some of their pieces have sold for significant amounts of treasure, although they do not make more than one to two pieces a year together.


Every day, Arwen watches the rising sun, looking for any sign of Aragorn. She knows he will come for her, it is simply a matter of when.


Hobbies: Arwen likes to weave in her free time. She makes anything from banners to tapestries depending on her mood.


Name Origin: Arwen from Lord of the Rings, I assume; named when I got her.
