"To defeat monsters, one must become a monster themselves."

Sanguine, for the longest time, didn't know she was Shade-touched. Her sister, Cyrene, was always aware of their abilities and the reasons for them- and she allowed the darkness to consume her heart to unlock her full potential as a dark wraith of the enemy.

But the blood-colored SkyDancer never once wanted the abilities she had. She ran from who she was, fear always eating at her gut and twisting her chest into knots. The Shade followed her wherever she went- shadow beings that tried to convince her to give in, to let herself be swallowed up by the darkness and turned into a wraith like her sister.
