B I O G R A P H Y

______ Our story begins on a dark, dark day, where a Pearlcatcher was born and abandoned by his kin as a war between clans reached its dark and stormy ends. Found by a Father to All, cast in Light, the vctorious Leader took the Princeling of the conquered land. Moulded in Frost with cunning eyes and a pearl dark as blood, the young hatchling would not find out about his true heritage until many ages had passed when Odin's glamor was lifted. He was raised among his older Brother as Princes of Light, yet the youngest of the two found himself clouded in his sibling’s grand shadow.

______ Yet clan Asgard was the only home he knew and loved, so even though Loki was not adored by all like his brother Thor, he made the lands his own. As Thor made the All-Father Odin proud, Loki grew closer with their mother Frigga, who taught him magic and sorcery as Thor learned of battle and war. The differences between the two brothers, once so close, grew until they seemed unsurpassable; while one was found among books and art and his clever Trickery began to grow, the other was praised by all for his strength and thunderous courage. As Loki saw the disappointment in the All-Father’s eyes and whispers of Ergi surrounded him, his love for his Brother darkened by the grasping claws of jealousy.

______ It wasn’t until the younger Princeling found out about his Jotunheim blood and the web of lies and deceit that had been woven by his adoptive parents that his dark machinations began to take shape. Desperation formed by the knowledge of his “monstrous” birthright drove Loki to do unspeakable things.

______ In an attempt to gain Odin's approval, Loki nearly commited genocide on what was left of clan Jotunheim after killing his birth father, using unstable magic. Thor prevented it by breaking the magic's power source - at a high price for clan Asgard. With his desperate and bloody attempt at recognization and revenge denied, Loki left the clan, cast out and defeated.
