I'm not quite sure
A seemingly endless void stands in place of a story in my mind

The longer I look away, the louder the darkness roars in protest
Doll was born a broken off fragment of the Shade before the creation of the World Pillar. A wild, vicious, destructive force, she fought in the battle against the deities with no regard for anything other than the Shade's will. Before its defeat, dragons sought ways to subdue these "children of the Shade," and they succeeded. Through a now unknown combination of science and magic, they were trapped within vessels in order to dampen the Shade's will and their connection to its power.
Doll's vessel is draconic in nature; a patched together attempt to make like and use what was so clearly different and threatening. However, this plan did not come to pass. Doll has no recollection of what she is, nor her past. She is softhearted, curious, and intelligent, but often quiet and reserved in her uncertainty and mistrust of others. Even so, she has managed to find herself a few kind dragons who have taken her under their wings.
There are still times she feels watchful, knowing eyes trailing after her. They leave a pit of unease within the body she already feels so discomforted in. She does not know if she wants to know what they seem to know. She wonders if it has something to do with the near silent whispers that call from the void in her mind. She fears to ask.

- There are those who know and who guard the secret of the Shade's children, ever watchful
- The will of the Shade lies dormant but present deep within her mind, calling to her and her siblings
- Overtime, Doll has developed a will of her own, as well as the capacity to care for others
