Amaya

A young pearlcatcher from the volcanic steam plains far to the west. Her earthy hide and sweet, but shy nature make her an adorable addition to any clan, with the perfect disposition for getting along with other dragons. Originally chased from her homelands by her kin for her fiery soulless gaze and clumsiness - caused primarily by her fragmented, faceted vision causing some depth perception issues - she now resides within the foster cave.

Making her nest of dry grasses and scavenged shed feathers, she now rests on a small cleft in the wall and cuddles her pearl for comfort. Occasionally, she can be seen poking her head over the lip of her ledge to peer at newcomers with a fluttering hope in her heart that they will be the one to offer her a permanent home. She's quick to dart out of sight if she catches you staring, though. Her fears of being driven out still plague her, feeding her timid personality and spurring her to hide when gazed upon.
