Marsh

Marsh's parents are wanderers. Spark had traveled with the wind since the moment of his birth, and Watcher had traversed the Tangled Wood since she first had the chance to leave home. For all that the two have settled down, wanderlust runs in Marsh's veins.

She's different, though. Marsh is a Fae, and all Fae are connected to the land. Spark is a scholar of magic and people, and his own connection is little more than a tool for him. But Marsh cares little for paper and ink. It is the marshes and brambles that call to her, the dark woodlands and the bright groves. She loves her family and her clan, but without them, she would happy spend her life in the wild places of the Tangled Wood.

She's one of the clan's oldest members, in time spent as part of it. That still feels odd to her, considering how much time she spends away. Sometimes, she almost feels more like a member of the Shard Hunt. But she can't bring herself to separate from it. The clan will always be part of her, as will the wilds.

Of course, the Lair itself has traveled far. Marsh knows this the best; she's traced its journeys back and forth herself. There's some melancholy in looking back on the hollowed husks of the villages in which they once stayed, but so it is. There's beauty as well.
