" You might view the Mother's touch as being blessed with suck: I prefer to see it as being cursed with awesome. " Lehine is a Cauldron of the Blood strain, who - when not playing with her diseases like invisible tinker toys - is locally rather famous for her brilliant dyes. When not occupied with her work, she's most often found making her clanmates groan with her terrible puns and delightfully bad jokes. Lehine is a careful and meticulous worker, sometimes spending weeks on perfecting a single mixture just to be certain she's gotten it right. As far as Lehine is concerned, any job the Mother gives her is certainly worth doing, and any job worth doing is worth doing well. When Lehine is not doing the Mother's work, she tends to focus on her day job of creating dyes and paints for the clan to sell. She's as thorough with her wares as she is the Mother's works, and the abilities that come as part and parcel of being a cauldron allow her to make stunning hues that fetch a pretty gem or two. She's known mostly for reds, of course, though her oranges and browns sell almost as well. Sadly, she has yet to manage a blue or green she feels satisfied enough with to offer for sale, but someday... In her day-to-day life, Lehine is a friendly and open dragon who enjoys chatting while she works. She has an appropriately morbid sense of humor and likes to tease her fellow Mother-touched at every opportunity. Most of them have learned to take it in stride. Some have even begun to tease her back, to her never-ending delight. (Only Howl is immune to her charms. She'll get him to loosen up one day, though, just watch.) Lehine loves a good prank almost as much as a terrible pun, and there is no such thing as a play or story so bad she won't enjoy it. Lehine lives to find joy in everything, and no mediocre script or poorly-remembered ghost story is going to stand in her way. |

The appropriately named Precious is very near and dear to Lehine's heart. She adores that little gem spirit to an excessive degree; Precious in turn is just as lavishly devoted to Lehine. It never leaves her side, and does what it can to help around the workshop and take care of its master. It usually winds up doing more harm than good, but Lehine forgives it for everything and continues to love it unconditionally. Most of the clan have a passing familiarity with Precious and its high, squeaky giggle that follows Lehine wherever she goes. Since its mishaps rarely wind up harming anyone but Lehine (and even then it never amounts to more than a few tiny bruises), they tolerate it alongside its master's antics. |
