Charge: The Water - She is devoted to protecting the oceans from dragons and pollution, but also devoted to getting them across the waters. She is often seen helping the injured dragons get across when they cannot get across or around it on their own. She isn't too great in the sky but rather she is faster and stronger in the water, using her tail, fins, and magic to propel her forward and into any situation the waves throw at her. She is like a ranger, protecting both nature and dragon kind, either from each other or other forces.
Occupation: Water Mage - She is known to be one of the greatest waiter mages in the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Although she can be found, many don't believe she has the guts or the heart to control such destructive forces they merely hear in rumors and stories. Many don't believe in her abilities to make the sea churn in such ways. Those who don't are fools to blind to see past her caring and tranquil personality. She is devoted to the Tidelord and his teachings, always training in a certain bay where she can commune with the waters and learn to command and respect them.

She is smart, kind, and clam most of the time. Her voice isn't very loud and is smooth and cool. She doesn't show anger in the slightest, but when she is angry, you will know. Her anger is like a wave crashing upon the beaches of your soul, both in magic and in aura. Even those who aren't aura readers can feel that kind of surge from a far. Although she isn't often angry, she is quick to defend what needs protecting. She is calm headed, and has an amused demeanor most of the time. She is friendly and level headed and she will give you advice from time to time if you ask for it. She likes to read on occasion, since she can't bring books into the water without ruining them. She is caring and kind and a great friend. She tends to get along well with the elderly, laughing at the humor. Her laugh is quiet, more of an amused chuckle. She never really belts it out. She is responsible and tries to stay healthy both in habits and in lifestyle. She sometimes pokes at you for fun, but that is a rare occasion. She is a good dragon to get to know. Most mistake her as a councilor or a leader of some kind, which sometimes makes her laugh. She is often humble about her and her work, always saying she is just doing her job. Some insist that she does more, but she waves it off. Those who thank her often get a response of, "No need to thank me." She doesn't believe in IOUs or having to owe anybody really. Nobody owes anybody anything. The art of giving is all one needs.

Waverider was once a full basic dragon, every gene in her body was basic. Waverider was born to a family in the Azurewinds clan, but as a young chick she didn't enjoy the ideals of Windsinger. Whenever she was near a pool she would play in the water and played with the fish, feeling at home with the liquid that her species had been born in. So she ran off to the Sea of a Thousand Currents and making a home in the cliff faces above the Leviathan Trench. She couldn't have gotten here on her own. She knew Aquastone had grown up by the sea and so had his familiar, and so she asked him to take her with him on one of his visits back home. He agreed, as long as she promised she would be quiet about it. While they had attempted to leave, her parents found out of course. After a long and emotional discussion, they agreed to let her go. They wanted her to be happy, but made her promise that if she ever needed anything again, she would not be afraid to ask them. She promised she would and that she would visit someday, and off Waverider and Aquastone went to the Sea. When there she immediately connected with the other clans and flights there, finding a home in a Water Flight Clan called the OpenReef clan, a clan lead by a glorious and caring leader. Although she was great with the other folks there, she often liked to be alone and practice her abilities in privacy. She listened to the Tidelord's moans and wails and respected everything about her species' home terrain. She vowed to protect it and all its treasures and secrets and began her career as a powerful water mage.
Her powers go way beyond that of what most understand about her. Her powers are strong and sudden. She carries a jug around with her where a little water spirit lives within. She uses it to exact revenge and justice on wrong doers who harm the ocean around them and she does it to anybody giving the seafarers and locals trouble. She has never shown her full potential in public or on land because she needs to be near a source of water in order to use it to its full potential, and a magician never shares all of their secrets. Her abilities are strongest in the water. She can create new paths of currents to help her move wherever she needs to go. She can create waves that move as if a living thing. She can upturn boats without having to sink them. She can make any water craft faster than the wind. She can raise the tide, part the sea, and pull out the waves if she wanted to, but she respects the ocean's freedom and often doesn't enforce control on it like others do. She sees the ocean as a friend and a colleague, not a tool or a weapon. She could read the waves and tell you how the ocean is feeling and when it is willing to do what she asks of it, even just by sniffing the salty air.
