i. summary

Sylvia is a mercenary, and while she is plenty skilled in a fight, she has a secret weapon: she has the power to hypnotize dragons by making them look at her scales, wings, or eyes for long enough. For a great deal of her life, she found this power hard to control, and something that overall made her life harder, but after some help from a mysterious dragon calling herself Strand, she learned how to control them to a greater extent...and became a mercenary. She wandered Sornieth, taking assorted jobs, albeit with a great deal of refusal on her part, and eventually met Rylese, who stuck with her on her wanderings, and they ultimately became partners.
