Simply a fabulous dragon.

......................................................................................................
Versace and Dior have a sort of glamour about them that makes Desisdos turn green with envy. Versace's very scales grow colorful gemstones that shine like real gold, and Dior is decorated in the softest green silks. But even if Desisdos takes the most precious silks in the world and pairs them with the most brilliant golden jewelry, the happy couple would still beat her at one thing: they're actually tolerable!

Versace was a sea-going dragon, a merchant at heart. Living at the northern border of the Southern Icefields, his original clan would hoard objects and materials come summer, and during the height of the heat(which wasn't very warm), when the glaciers cracked and broke off into the sea, the adventurous Coatl would follow his kin over the ocean to trade and score piles and piles of Treasure. They would continue to trade until autumn dared to rear its head, and then the merchants would pack up their wares and return southward, where the Icefield would begin to reclaim the watery territories that had broken off. Such it was every year, and Verscae had become quite wealthy; but gems and treasure just wasn't enough for him. Gold couldn't hug you, or love you, or assure you during times of crisis, and he had no interest in any of the girls in his Clan. So by next summer, Versace was already keen on leaving home to find a place to settle down.

Dior, during this time, was a grudging Wildclaw who loved to paint but could find no time to do it. Her skills were subpar at best, and the only way to improve them was to either practice-which she couldn't, with her busy schedule of organizing a rather impressive library showcasing the Light Flight's greatest achievements-or to find someone to teach her, and she couldn't afford that! She was stuck in a rut, and was unable to find a way out of it. And with her Clan leader hounding on her to find a way to become an achiever, and her own indolence constantly getting in the way, it was only a matter of time before Dior found an excuse to leave; and that excuse was being replaced at the library. While she never intended to go to the Tangled Wood, that's where she ended up, and as far as she cared it wasn't part of the Light Flight, so who cares? Surprisingly enough, she managed to get away with the indifference, as she stumbled across a Shadow clan that was on neutral terms with any dragon of any element. This clan was currently picking itself up and trying to put itself back together, and one thing they really needed was something to entertain them, something to look at that could shout back or cause trouble. And what a better thing than art?

As Dior settled in to the new Clan, practicing her brush skills and showcasing her better works for the dragons there, Versace had just arrived to the Sea of a Thousand Currents; the best place for a seafarer to begin a journey inland. He enjoyed the mystery of the Water dragons there, but he couldn't quite fit in, as there was something... stony, about them. There weren't very many lighthearted dragons. On the other hand, adopted Wind dragons there were far too lighthearted for his taste. Good thing he didn't dock at the Windswept Plateau! But, there didn't seem to be anything... perfect, at the Sea. So, he dared to travel further inland, leaving the coasts that he was so wont to. Meanwhile, Dior was getting along quite well with the odd member or two of the Shadow Clan, discovering that there actually weren't as many Shadowborn as she thought! Many of the dragons were travelers or were adopted by the Clan, just like she was, and some of them had fascinating stories to tell... if you could get them to actually say something. So she was warming up quite quickly to the dragons there, as Versace debated on where to go next.

Time ticked by. Versace has had no luck with his quest, and Dior was becoming bored with her new lifestyle. Versace's outgoing personality was quickly replaced by a hopeless one, and while Dior's indolence disappeared, she became sluggish and uninterested in everything, working like one of Stormcatcher's machines. Sian noticed this quickly, and managed to ease out something buried deep that had been bothering her for quite a while: the feeling that there was nothing else for her here, "here" being the lands of Sornieth. With worry quickly heightening on Sian's mind, she began reintroducing the sobbing Wildclaw to some of the males of the Clan, but Dior held no interest in any of them. Things were already looking bad.
And then Versace quite literally stumbled into the clan, falling onto Acriel first and then rolling down into Hemlock. What an introduction, eh? Luckily the infuriated Coatl was calmed before she could set Arsenic onto the unfortunate intruder, and Acriel was taking a nap so he was too busy processing everything that was going on. But despite the flurry of feathers as Sian attempted to sooth Hemlock, the blabbered apologies from Versace caught Dior's attention, and actually made her smile! The sun shone a little brighter that day... not that it really matters in the Tangled Wood.

Since then Dior and Versace have been good-friends-turned-lovebirds. While no eggs have been found yet they have certainly considered the option, though Dior insists on adoption. Versace doesn't really care, being content on spending time with her and admiring her artwork, and finding ingenious ways to increase the value of junk in the hoard and selling it to benefit the Clan; as a result, he regained a lot of the wealth that he had before he even left the Icefield! Looking back on their previous outlooks on life, Dior was surprised by her own logic, and Versace admits to "not knowing how I managed to get by before meeting Ms. Dior". But, while the past may have been unfathomable to them then, the future certainly looks brighter now, and that's all the two care about.
