"This wonderful elixir of light is the thing that actually connects the immaterial with the material - that connects the cosmic to the plain everyday existence that we try to live in."

Ruby... for luck, fortune, and contentment. Amethyst... for calm and tranquility, inspiring happiness, generating positive feelings, relieving stress. Quartz... used for healing purposes, to cleanse mind, body, spirit. All of these materials were carved, polished, and imbued with magic to make the perfect container for an elixir of healing.

Morbius did not start out alive. His creation was simply a whimsy of the dragons who needed a sacred and pure chalice to hold their healing potion and let it mature before they could sell it. For a long, long time, that’s all he was and all he did.

But after a while, the elixir worked on the precious materials that held it. Morbius slowly started to be able to think… and then, on one unforgettable day, to move. While his creators were in shock, they were also utterly thrilled. Not only did they have a talking piece that would sell more of their potion, they could now ask more money for it.

Morbius, now that he was becoming his own creature, found their acquisitive attitudes disturbing. Not wanting to be used, the newly-born creature left as soon as he was able to control his body enough to sneak out. He followed a pull deep in his core that led him to Chaotic Daydreams. Here, he is learning how to be his own person and help others on his own terms. Though he is very old in one way, he is very young in most others and the lair full of lunatics are happy to help him grow however he would like.
