Biography
WINDHILL
Ever since they were kids, Windhill and his sister Tristen were under his care. He fed them, taught them basic things needed for a dragon's survival and when they grew up, helped each summon a Familiar of their own. Yet as Windhill grew older, he began to understand that he was kind of "special" to him. The favoritism was not quite in-your-face but Windhill was always the one who'd get served food first, the one to get an added praise, the one who he had spent most time with. Windhill didn't mind the attention, not even after realizing he may be the favorite one out of them all. He did his best not to boast about it, never asked for the spotlight he was pushed into, evaded all possible conflicts about it. But, after a while, he did mention it out loud, admitting that he himself noticed it and enjoyed it. It was one summery evening, while he and his sister were out on a walk. It was only in passing, but now it was out there, he said it, and so it was true. The call to join the recruits was sudden but not entirely unexpected. Windhill was pretty adept in magic and the mentorship received only helped his talent grow. Thankfully, his sister was not needed, for the more experienced diplomats already did their best but ultimately failed in avoiding the ensuing war. |
One evening, just as they were finishing their everyday walk around the grounds, Windhill gathered his courage to confide to his sister. He start resenting their tutor after the battle, for he pushed him to use his magic a bit too far. It started out alright, with Windhill being praised for great control over his spells and being observant in the ensuing chaos; but as the fights dragged on, his stamina depleted yet he kept getting pushed into the front rows. "To lead and to be a shining example" was his supposed role, but all he was becoming was a hindrance that needed protection. His sister tried comforting him that evening, but things were only becoming more complicated. In the end, despite their mentor's attempts to reconcile, Windhill couldn't stand seeing him anymore for in those moments, he seemed high on power that wasn't even his, it was Windhills, and it looked like only the Tundra realized how things could've ended if only he was less lucky. The only thing left in his mind was to run away, leave his sister and his mentor behind, as well as friends and family, and try to clear his mind and grow on his own. Unfortunately, that man soon followed so Windhill thought staying on the run was the only option left. |
