a quiet and crisp scholar, isidore was born into an illustrious family of spirit magicians. as was tradition, he trained diligently from a young age and followed in the footsteps of his elder relatives. the ancient structures of the sunbeam ruins hold a wealth of spectral remnants, and there could only be more in the rest of sornieth. isidore’s ancestors have taken pride in the preservation of this research for generations.

as he came of age it became clear that, as the only dragon of his generation, he would be expected to take on the role of clan leader. however his studious and fairly unassuming nature had meant the surrounding lesser clans were not convinced of his authority. quite a few of them had jostled for power for years and saw an opportunity ripe for the taking. isidore wasn’t prepared to engage in violence, and frankly he was happy in his quiet little life with the spirits.

after a rather unnecessary and overdramatic coup, isidore gathered up his books and instruments and resolved to continue his work at the pillar of the world. he was saddened to be leaving his ancestral home in the hewn city as he knew a return would not be well received. although the family’s traditions wouldn’t continue in their homeland, isidore was thrilled by the prospect of expanding his horizons. maybe he could find some like-minded scholars in dragonhome to join up with.
