Quartzine

A technician educated in the copper-plated lecture halls of Tempest Spire itself, Quartzine cut her teeth on server farm maintenance and circuit board construction. The kerfuffle over the deactivation of Stormcatch Sanctum left a bad taste in her mouth, however, so she cashed in her accrued vacation hours, sold her company stock, packed up her menagerie of trained rodents (who can run cable much more easily than she can) and headed north. It just so happened Nox was the first clan leader to be intrigued by, rather than suspicious of, her offer of technological assistance, so here she stayed.

These days Quartz spends most of her time tending to Clan Morningstar's wireless server, a novelty in the parchment- and stone-reliant Sunbeam Ruins, as well as running cable and installing outlets so that new clan members can access their intranet. She's also begun digitizing the clan archives, although it took her months to convince Mitternacht to allow it, and only after Quartz swore up, down, and on Stormcatcher's storm catcher that she would replace anything she ruined even if it killed her. (So far she's kept her promise, though digitally scanning said parchment isn't really all that hazardous.)

In her spare time, she's been experimenting with self-augmentation, installing minor implants that help improve her performance and efficiency while also looking super sick. The plugs allow Quartz to interface directly with the intranet and the electrical grid without needing to be in front of a screen; just a wall outlet will suffice. Her eyes are fitted with lenses that can see beyond the visible spectrum, among other things, and glow when activated. She's heard that the Boss has special employees augmented beyond what even she could achieve, their inorganic parts blended seamlessly into their flesh -- a true technological marvel! She hopes she'll get to meet one someday.

On a very personal note, there seem to be sparks between herself and Obsidian, but she's hesitant to ruin their good working relationship by trying to make a move...


Named for the technologically-critical piezoelectric silicate mineral quartz, of course.
