______ Famine is one of the lair’s most fearsome assets. She is infamous for her frail looks and skills in crafting bioweapons, which she plants in enemy territory to keep other flights and encroaching Plague dragons alike from stepping too close to her own clan’s borders. She is known by other clans as “The Wraith”, sowing disease, starvation, and poverty wherever she chooses to spread her various fungi and other weapons.
As with her terrifying reputation among enemies, much of the clan regards Famine as an ill omen, especially other coatls within the lair. While respected amongst her clanmates, she rarely emerges from the cavern her partner, Sairaus, has dug out for her, where she perfects her bioweapons. This leads to a reputation of secrecy and unfriendliness, and her relationship with her kin and offspring is strained and distant.
The exception to this is Sairaus, who keeps by her side most times, though spends much less time in her lab. He assists her in spreading her bioweapons, scouting out intruders and informing her of possible locations to stage her next attack. Sairaus, by Famine’s own admission, has maintained a much better relationship with their offspring.
Famine’s tactics are overseen by the clan’s founder, Alba. The two are the closest Famine has come to friendship, and Alba considers her polite and cunning, both of which she values.
The Wraith also works closely with Tear, a famously barbaric warrior known for her ability to sweep through rows of dragons on the battlefield. Instead of fighting in the coliseum, Tear builds up an immunity to Famine's bioweapons and then is released onto straggling enemies the spores have not managed to wipe out.

______ Famine was born to Seven and Thorne. As a hatchling with pale and washed-out colors, she was not thrown out in full, but disregarded and kept away from her siblings. While Aesir found a calling serving the Plaguebringer, Sweetnose gained purpose in settling in the Windswept Plateau, and Capella made her mark on the clan crafting war songs and mourning hymns alike, Famine discovered her love of the power and destructive tendencies of nature. She began to create bioweapons, quickly gaining the attention of Alba, the clan's leader, and began to launch them against other clans to drive them off her fellows' territory.
