Once a long time ago a clan of Coatls settled in the Molten Scar. They were famed for their ability to find precious metals and gems in the dangerous and turning environment. Few others but the Flamecaller’s kin dared to venture the ever changing and violent landscape.

After years and generations of dragons, despite their earlier colours they started to develop a firey and orange glow, other breeds joined the gene pool, and their many ventures into the scars of the Ashfall Waste gave their feathers scorched markings. They forgot their previous hues and some even started to believe they had been blessed from the Flamecaller herself.


Subspecies Abilities
Compared to other dragons these are remarkably resistant to heat, their toughened feathers withstanding limited exposure to lava. They also seem to be very aware of where potential metal and mineral deposits can be found. Some call this a sixth sense, and thus making the Living Fire subspecies very useful to smiths and merchants. Some call this ability the Flame Sight.

These dragons have near perfect camouflage in the molten scar, their colours blending naturally into the lava, however everywhere else the colours can prove a problem. Being as bright as this in the blue waters of the sea of a thousand currents might be a bit inconspicuous.

Being used to the irregularities and spontaneity of the place they call home, they seem to be as impulsive and feisty as the landscape they live in. You never know quite what you will expect from these individuals.
