Travelers wandering the Abiding Boneyard are sometimes visited by Coatls known as Cheshire Cats. These mischievous dragons offer to guide those lost in the Abiding Boneyard to the Milky Tea Patisserie... in exchange for a game or two. The games themselves are highly dangerous, matching the setting of the land. But if the traveler survives, then they will find a safe haven from the arid wasteland.

They will waltz up to an unsuspecting dragon, purring and twitching their long fluffy tails. They will claim to know of a place that is safe, where the traveler need not fear the Plaguebringer’s rot. A place where they can rest. More often than not, the desperate dragon agrees. And then the games begin.

Tag. Hide and seek. I spy. All are incredibly dangerous in the Scarred Wasteland, where a wrong step could lead to sickness – or worse. But for most it is worth it, to find safe food and drink in a place sheltered from the pestilence of the land.

A Cat saunters up to you, grinning from ear to ear. “Hello!” the Coatl chirps. Another approaches from behind, twining around you and brushing their wings against your head. “We can lead you to the Milky Tea Patisserie,” the second Coatl purrs, and then looks at you with deep blue eyes. “What do you say? Wanna play a game?”
