Mellifluous the Dancer

I. A dancer of the highest caliber, Mellifluous met his wife when he was only a young dragon. Eldora visited his clan on a diplomatic mission, and the young Mellifluous performed a dance for the diplomats. Eldora had been so stricken by not only his dancing, but also his sharp wit and humor, that she swept him into her wings and took him back to her home.

Although missing his family, Mellifluous loved Eldora, and she loved him. Their parents did not disapprove of the union, instead seeing it as something where they could bring their two kingdoms together. The heat of the Ashfall Waste was not easy for Mellifluous to get used to, but he did after about a year. Eldora showed him everything, and they soon found that they were expecting hatchlings.

II. Three eggs were laid, but Eldora grew unsatisfied at their home. Her parents had so many expectations from her, as she was an only hatchling. Her parents had plans to marry off their hatchlings to various other kingdoms in order to create alliances. Neither Eldora nor Mellifluous wanted this, and so they took their eggs and fled from their home. Soon after, they arrived in the Sea of a Thousand Currents. They had tried to return to the Viridian Labyrinth, but got lost. They were rescued from drowning by a patrol led by Oisin, who brought them to Aislinn. The Pearlcatcher allowed them to stay, and the parents were welcomed. Saorla cared for their eggs, while Eldora joined the army, and Mellifluous became a dancer.

III. Topaz and Citrine eventually left to find their own way in the world, but Opal stayed as he had caught the eye of a young alchemist named Viridite. It took a while for Eldora and Mellifluous to warm up to Viridite, but they eventually welcomed him as part of the family.
