His parents just a breeding pair Blizzard was met with indifference at his hatching, thrown into a cart to go off to the market of the cold icy home he was born into.

Another lair offered to move him in and they paid for the trip over as it was cheap since he was still a hatchling. All the while he felt so unwanted, his home somewhere else out there. His true family unknown to him. His birth family worse than strangers.

After a week the lair that got him found no place for the ice-born child and took him to their market to trade him off too, and for a lot more as he was no longer small and was strong too. The feeling of being unwanted was much stronger this time as he felt something farther calling him, something... familiar... yet nothing should be familiar to him since he's barely had a chance to live anywhere for long.

This new home tried to par him up with a mate, they claimed his colors and genes were special and should be passed on but as he refused since he didn't want to make hatchlings in a place he already knew was only going to trade him off again after they got the clutch. And he witnessed his assumptions happen with another dragon, they had favorable genes and colors and they made three nests, and them and every single hatchling was traded off in the market for more treasure. Before long they traded him away just as he knew they would...

It was then, as he sat in the market, a price on him like if he was property even though it was really just the cost of moving him it still felt like they were selling him instead, that that feeling was at its strongest. Familiarity, like family. That's when his icy eyes locked with another dark mirrors electric eyes and he knew...

"Brother..." left his mouth quietly, he'd never spoken yet before then but as Midnight came up he just couldn't hold himself back from giving the progen a hug and getting one in return.

Midnight paid his fair to move into the Hive lair and the whole trip home they laughed and joked with no words like they'd known each other their whole lives. Finally he was home and he would help build thir home and found he was the best at digging the caverns out and arranging the support beams for them as well. His claws hardened working in other lands made him a stronger digger and his eye for detail in the desert rock gave him an advantage in knowing where those supports were needed.

Blizzard takes great pride in his work expanding the lair deeper and deeper into the dry desert earth, digging out lair space and hibernal space alike...

He was home, with a place in the lair as the main constructor with his brother Midnight by his side...
A brother by spirit is a stronger bond than a brother by blood..
