Biography
Vishnu
Vishnu is one of Bristleback's higher ranking guards, tasked with protecting Namira. He occasionally carries out matters outside of the lair, but he is not sent as often as Arvak is. He came to the Wasteland and joined Namira almost at the same time as Ruby, even though they were not traveling together.
The Wildclaw is very prideful of his position and how well he does his job. He serves Namira's word without any thought, and is usually the first one to alert Namira of any treason.
Vishnu is usually one of the two sent out into the Wasteland as an assassin, but unlike Arvak, the Wildclaw is usually sent for assassinations that are meant to be brutal and public, as his are meant to strike fear and uproar into witnesses of the act. Once the deed is done, he uses his natural quick wits and knowledge of the terrain to make a quick and easy escape. Vishnu highly prides himself in never having led enemies to the location of the lair, and it's something he holds over Arvak at every opportunity he can.
Vishnu doesn't typically interact with most of the lair's residents, but he is generally not unfriendly with most of them. He enjoys pestering Arvak often, as he knows the two share a mutual distaste for the other, but will occasionally tolerate each other's presence when the air between the two is not tense. He is more friendly with Madpine, Sardonyx, and Maverick more than any of the other residents, but really only tolerates Sardonyx mainly because of her knowledge of alchemy, and he enjoys being able to use venom soaked claws in combat. If not for her usefulness in the clan, they'd likely be closer to enemies. They were not particularly friends in the Light flight, and they are still not so, but Ruby and Vishnu mend a fairly stable alliance as high ranking guards of Namira. Like most of the Burrow's residents, Vishnu is terrified of Kale, and has made it a point to never have to meet the Spiral.

Vishnu's taloned claws cracked across the solid earth of the Boneyard as he fled the onslaught of an enraged pack of Mirrors. The thrill of the chase and the blood dripping from his long teeth only made the Wildclaw more and more eager to return to his clan as the cries started to fade behind him. He knew he wasn't in the clear yet, however. He knew exactly what kind of sense of smell Mirrors have, and if he took the ever growing silence as a sign to relax, they'd ambush and overpower him with sheer numbers.
And, of course, the fact that they were resilient enough to chase for days, Vishnu knew it would be foolish to go home immediately, especially since Lady Namira knew it was to be a mission that could take upwards to a week to accomplish.
He had to admit, though, that he didn't completely understand the Pearlcatcher's intentions to attack this very pack. The assassination of the alpha's mate is certainly a very crucial power play needed to assert the clan's dominance over theirs, but this packs leader is notorious for her relentlessness, and certainly is not the right group to send a lone assassin against.
The Wildclaw shook his head forcefully. No! he told himself internally,
I should not be douting our Lady. She trusts that I am capable of completing this task, or she would have sent Arvak.
Shutting his thoughts away, he continued running, silently lunging between the sides of small rocky gorges, across hills, and making short flights across dangerous cliffsides for what felt like weeks. In reality, his journey only lasted a few sleepless days before he was convinced he was safe enough to return to Bristleback. His strong sense of smell easily led him in the direction of home. Vishnu was sure that by now, there was absolutely no chance of those Mirror's tracking him down, but he made sure to be extra cautious anyways. Checking behind him, his surroundings, the air, every nook that could potentially hold a dragon waiting to ambush. But as he neared Bristleback Burrow on the horizon, he let out a huge sigh of relief, one he wasn't even aware that he was holding in, as he followed the old trail to home.
