______ Constel peered cautiously around the dense bush of the forest, it was odd, she never thought she would experience something of this nature, but it was worth it, right? She was going to save her clan, she would be seen as a higher being, a hero, she would be respected for once.

. . .


______ It was getting dark now, the sun was almost set and the moon was rising, lighting her lantern, she continued to explore, bad idea, she shouldve stayed put in the small den she found. She peeked around a large oak tree, something had caught her attention, a towering willow tree with faint gleaming runes climbing the trunk. She gently placed her hand on it, taken by surprise of the runes quickly getting to ger scales, she falls unconscious on the soft grass.

She awoke to the sun shining brightly above her, though there was a change, her scales ached and they were a darker violet, the runes, once gleaming on the tree, now on her, she had taken the curse from the tree, the one thing she desperately wanted to avoid. She began clawing at the runes, her insides began to burn with a sharp pain. After about ten minutes of doing so, her arms and legs were seeping with blood, she began to sob, collapsing down once more in the grass, and she wept, until she once again fell unconscious below the willow.
