Sunrise
Translator and Telepathic Guide
Sunrise was one of the very first dragons to join Ariana when she set off on her own to form a clan, along with his mate Sunset. Sunrise and Sunset were thought inseparable until Sunset suddenly left the clan to become exalted. Since then, Sunrise has been almost painfully lonely, only mating once with any other dragon.
He has strong ties to his two offspring with Abriella. Maeve left the clan for exaltation, but Mouse has taken up permanent residence in the clan, though it is a tentative position with so many threats against her... Sunrise has a very close relationship with Mouse, and continues to try and dote upon her though she is very independent. He is extremely protective of her, and protective of all of her offspring as well. When Sunrise discovered the relationship between his favoured daughter and his good friend Eryn, he was shocked but not displeased or bitter. Sunrise is glad that there is another powerful dragon around to protect his daughter.
He is the very 'chilled out' friend to most of the dragons in the clan, which is a good thing since otherwise many would have problems with his telepathic abilities - telepathic abilities that stayed with him even when he changed from a skydancer to a snapper, though no one knows why. These abilities were once much stronger since he used to be a mage, but since then he has focused more on physical strength. His translating abilities depend solely on his ability to read and understand the minds of others, instead of his own knowledge of foreign language.
