Dahlia

Within the noise of the nesting grounds, a vibrant dragon is found sitting calmly in the middle of wrestling hatchlings, watching them fondly from her elegant height.

She sings softly under her breath as she watches the newest editions to the lair, getting comfortable. She embodies a sense of safety and calm for all around her, even the adult dragons relax when she's near. On her shoulder sits a odd looking bird but he twitters and thrills along with her songs and together they make quite the harmony, almost like an odd sort of magical peace.

A pair of dye and mud splattered hatchlings peer up at her, having just been found in the wilds and brought to her sanctuary. The little female standing almost defiantly, tippy-toeing as tall as she can in front of her slightly smaller brother who gives the impression of being a bit more timid and reserved.

"Now m'dears, what might your names be?" she asks softly as she looks them over, her nose snuffling along their flanks as she checks for any injuries or parasites.

"My name is Blossom and this is my little brother, Basil..." pips up the wee one before giving her brother a nudge forward -saysomething- she mumbles at him, "uuuh hi, yes, um I'm Basil, very nice to meet you, please may we stay, I promise we'll be good and follow all the rul..." he quickly snaps his jaws shut at the look his sister gives him, to which Dehlia chuckles and wraps her tail around them both. Yes you both are welcome here, you are safe, don't worry I will watch over you and when you are ready, there are others you can meet. I have no doubt the rest of the clan is eagerly looking forward to meeting you both while we work to figure out why you were left behind and what you both want to do with your future selves."
