Biography
Decay sighed and watched as Rebirth, his mate and companion, flew off into the bushes. She seemed very young, very young, and he felt older by the moment.
The two had a special little cycle they followed, that helped them survive per say.
Decay would get old, and Rebirth would get young. Once Decay was about to die, they’d change, and Decay would start getting young, and Rebirth would start getting old. It was, truly, as simple as that. But others thought he was weird and most were uncomfortable around him, simply because he was essentially dying, all the time.
He shuffled his feet a little. That wasn’t necessarily true. Some dragons liked him.
Aiden - a young dragonet - liked to follow him around when Decay went “hunting”, and the little dragonet liked to think he was quite stealthy and sneaky. Of course, Decay went along with it.
Many dragons found him fascinating, and he didn’t really blame them. It was kinda cool how he just got so close to death every time, and then he’d just turn younger again. But it was a little irritating, because it was just normal for him.
He turned to the side and immediately spotted a little falcon. A smile brightened his features.
Since the muddy-green dragon was always turning older, other older creatures frequently flocked to him to be calm in their last days. This falcon had been coming to him a lot recently, and he presumed it was going to be gone soon.
He missed the animals that passed, truly he did. He kind of grew attached to them.
Decay trotted forward, hating the aching in his bones, and sat down next to the falcon, which gave a small chirp.
He smiled, looking down at it.
The gray-ish falcon looked back up and let out another small chirrrup!
