Starstriker Northridge

Starstriker Northridge was not your average dragon. His upbringing was an average one at most. He was a young dragon with an intense dream of becoming a protector of all. He lived in the colder reaches of the dessert where the ice was his best advantage during the winters. Having been born in a place colder than any other region and being naturally accustomed to the heat of the desert sands he was well equipped and prepared for both sides of the temperature spectrum. He trained every day, never letting up and always trying harder each day to perfect his fighting skills to become the hero he dreamed to be. He trained non-stop, hopping from melee fighting, evocation and abjuration magic, and flight training. Every week he would attempt to fly higher than most dragons would dare to attempt, little by little each day to see just how far he could go. He tested his limits and how long he could hold his breath in thin air, testing his body's ability to endure more than just fighting. Training his lungs and finding ways to be more efficient with his oxygen use he climbed higher and higher into the atmosphere, closer and closer to the stars. After he reached his limit one day he began to wonder if he could touch the stars above. As he returned to land to rest momentarily before his next task, he began to think of ways to get there. An idea struck him. If the oxygen wouldn't come to him, he would bring it to him.
Starstriker rolled out the scrolls and sent the messenger birds to all the best inventors in the realm his ideas. Most of them turned him down, thinking he was crazy in trying to reach the stars, but one of them didn't. Glorian Blues agreed to help him out. Packing up what little he had in his possession he flew to the Windswept Plateau to meet and work with this Glorian Blues in person. He reached her clan, finding many interesting dragons, and began to work with her to reach the stars. As days grew to weeks and weeks to months, he eventually considered himself a part of the clan. He met Capulate, a little ridgeback female who was learning to become an alchemist and a chemist and a possible assistant for Glorian. The assistant in training was younger than Starstriker, but he eventually grew to like her. Despite being a gruff vigilante, he was protective of the defenseless, and after meeting Capulate, he felt she needed protection and care. They grew close and grow closer still.
With the combined efforts of Starstriker and his two new friends he finally had the equipment to bring him to space. He now climbs higher and higher, trying to reach the black skies beyond the blue and to protect more than just his world.
