Rue

An emissary from Pikabolt, he will be added to the kingdom once Pinkerton Ingvar allows.

Initially arrived on the kingdom's first night, we'll see how long it takes for him to be welcomed in.


Even though the kingdom he once called home has long since fallen, and Hawthorn, his one surviving child, has left this mortal coil to join their family in the afterlife, Rue cannot rest. The anguish he feels traps him in the world of the living, wretched torments he cannot seem to let go.

Grief, anger, regret, spite…all these things bind him here. Grief in not being able to stop Broadtooth from being murdered, anger that the unknown killer still runs free. Regret that he gave into the desire for vengeance that led to his death, leaving his poor baby Hawthorn all alone in the world. Vindictive spite that Ingvar didn’t survive his mistake, that he got what he deserved for leading him and Ginko to their bloody ends.

Until these feelings have been dealt with, and Broadtooth’s hated murderer brought to justice, Rue will forever remain a restless shade on the mortal plane. A haunted specter of misery, trapped by his own anguish and hatred.

There is a legend told in the Southern Icefields, about a lone Fae that can be seen on moonless nights, moaning in the wind. A ghost that stands on the bones of his fallen kingdom. Be warned, ye weary traveler; to draw the shade’s attention is to knock on death’s door. Leave the shadows of the past to their grief, and keep to the paths in daylight hours.
