SIAMÉS is an Argentine indie rock and indie pop band. The band is most well-known for its collaborations with RUDO Co. on their music videos. HISTORY: BOUNCE INTO THE MUSIC (2016-2018): SIAMÉS released their debut album, Bounce Into the Music, in August of 2016. No singles were released prior to the album's release. However, the album would later have two singles: "The Wolf" and "Mr. Fear". "The Wolf" was the first song by SIAMÉS to receive a music video. It was released on April 21, 2017, and was declared the first single off of Bounce Into the Music. The music video was animated by RUDO Co., and it became a success, gaining ten million views within the first four months. The following year, "The Wolf" would receive a remix EP titled Dancing with the Moonlight (The Wolf Remixes). The remixes released in April of 2018 and would feature three remixes of the track by various artists, including Barbie Williams, who SIAMÉS would later work with again on their next album. The month after the release of Dancing with the Moonlight, the band uploaded a teaser to YouTube for another music video, this time for the album's second single, "Mr. Fear". Similarly to "The Wolf", the music video for "Mr. Fear" was animated by RUDO Co. "Mr. Fear" also became a success, gaining one million views within two weeks of release. While "Mr. Fear" would not receive a remix EP like "The Wolf", a remix for the track was released on November 22 by Make Mama Proud. HOME (2019-present): On June 21, 2019, SIAMÉS released a teaser for a new track, "Summer Nights", along with a new music video by RUDO Co. to go with it. This would be the first original track from the band since Bounce into the Music. The song and music video were initially announced to release on August 30. While the song was released on YouTube that day, the video was delayed to September 17. In the description for the music video, the song was announced to be a track for an upcoming album, Home. On November 3, 2019, the band uploaded a lyrics video for another new song, titled "No Lullaby". The song's description lists it as the second single for Home. On November 28, 2019, the third single for Home was released: "I Can't Wait". This single was used to announce the release date of Home: December 13, 2019. MEMBERS: G. NB: Like with a lot of music, this song can be interpreted a number of ways. In a literal sense, the Wolf is addiction, because of the alcohol and cigarette imagery/allusion to escapism and guilt. In a more interpretive sense, the Wolf is a problem/series of problems the people are running away from in general, and the guilt is from putting off solving those problems. It’s bad to ignore both of these issues (and I think both kinda come through in the vid), so it’s important to face your demons head on regardless of the situation. It’s going to be a heck of a bad time, but when you come out of the other side you’ll be stronger for it, and you’re not going through all of this by yourself. No matter how big or how small you think your problems are, there will ALWAYS be someone/a group willing to support and help you out!
