Lucid

The first queen of this land. Queen Lucid lived a long and successful life as the founder and first royal. Crimson, her King, stood by her side from the moment they were hatchlings. Queen Lucid and King Crimson have long since passed, but extravagant statues rest in a special area of the castle to commemorate the two, along with every ruler after. It is said that certain dragons who are chosen by their spirits can be taken to the statue room to be judged on whether they are fit to rule.
Chosen dragons live in the same section of the palace as the royal family once their presence is known. They are trained and will take the throne once the current chosen ruler passes. When the current chosen ruler passes, their mate retires from rule to make way for the new leader and to help teach new generations of dragons.
The current chosen ruler is Tanzanite, her mate Odin is king by her side. The newest chosen has yet to be found, but a curious young dragon by the name of Moonstone has been incredibly adept in her studies of the stars and has been caught trying to sneak into certain parts of the castle. When questioned, she claims to have heard something calling to her, however, the guard, led by Midnight at the moment, has hidden this from queen Tanzanite in order to further his plans.
