Saguaro

When he was young, he remembers vividly that he used to be a nocturne. He still has the sharp and thick scales even now as a Pearlcatcher. Sometime around the time he changed himself into a different species of dragon, he had found a seedling budding from a seemingly golden stone. The stone was flat and round, with the exception of the cracks forming from the growing roots inside. He claimed it as his Pearl and takes care of it as if it was an extension of himself. Having this stone helps him make up for the fact that he cannot produce the same opalescent fluids a Pearlcatcher can. He's somewhat glad he can't do that after witnessing the alchemist, Kantaira, obsessively adding onto her misshapen pearl. He found the black fluid disgusting. It looked like the Shade from the old stories before it hardened into the pearl.
Plants were beautiful though, very much unlike the pearlcatcher goop. He tends to a garden of herbs and flowers and protects it all with his own life.
