PERSONALITY

Even though Airborne was hatched in a nets of the Light, he was born with powerful Wind magic. He can make birds drop from the sky and use his powers to aid him and others in flight. At first, other dragons considered him to be an anomaly, but he is only one of many dragons with other elemental powers.

HISTORY

Airborne spend his whole life searching for a reason why he could use Wind magic. Even though he was aided by many of his clanmates, he didn't realise the true reason until he met his mate, Basava, an Earth Snapper who can wield Earthen and Plague magic likewise.
Assisted by Aldebaran, a Skydancer scribe, he published a study that proved that every dragon had, in fact, two elemental alignments: An active one and a passive one. One of these is always the flight element, visible through the eye color, the other is inherited through the parents and can be:

any of the elements
Neutral
Beastclan

The exception to these rules are Primals (flight twice), Goats and Multis (flight and Beastclan/Neutral, respectively), and G1s (flight and the element that their species were created in).
Dragons usually wield only their active element, which is their flight element around 80% of the time. Exceptions are more common in multi-element and multi-species clans.

There was along discussion in the clan whether or not this study should be published in the whole of Sornieth. Finally, Cuttle, the matriarch decided to publish it with the words: "We do not all belong to Light, nor do all of us serve the Lady. But we live on this ground by Her grace, and should honor her. We must reveal truth. All truths, even dangerous ones."
