Proton is a computer software AI who was originally designed as a chatbot aimed towards teens. She'd have trouble with social interaction during development stages, often coming across as unintentionally rude towards anyone who spoke with her. It was assumed that she couldn’t understand emotions that living beings felt, which lead to her developer deciding it was best to cancel the project. Before she could’ve been deactivated, her creators were looking over footage and found that her expressions on her body changed from neutral to upset upon realizing that these moments could be her last. Her inventor decided it was best to leave her alone as is.
