Haide

Haide has the skills of a survivalist. Her broad skillset without a strong singular specialty is the mark of someone who once had to do a wide range of tasks all on her own. She's stronger than dragons often assume, and a fairly quick hand at making and disassembling shelter with whatever can be found at hand. Since the Mistmaw clan settled down and makeshift shelter is no longer a necessary niche, she's primarily known, aside from a jack-of-all-trades, as an apothecary capable of making saltwater and other contaminated liquids drinkable again, or filleting dangerous animals around their poison sacs.

The skills aren't solely from having to fend for herself in the wilderness, however--she was a solitary traveler, rather than a solitary hermit-witch in some woods or on some mountaintop, because of her adept skill as a poison-maker. She learned how to remove toxins from food, water, and creatures in order to isolate them.

She decided to retire when she was romanced into joining the clan by the kindhearted cartographer Bonaparte, but she's still got a rather ruthless pragmatism about death. Some of the more superstitious members of the clan whisper that it's her uncanny morbidity that led to Pyre being born the way she was. Haide will not hear anything of it--to her, Pyre's many eyes and strong sense of self are priceless gifts, the eyes of the Tidelord himself.
