Unfortunately, this means that her threats are not taken into account, since the culprits know that there will be no retaliation on her part. She's too gentle, and that plays tricks on her...

At the start, there was a lonely Tundra named Lyra, a Tundra of purple and blue fur and feline patterns. She had been alone for quite some time, excluded by her own family: a pack of hunters. “She’s too bright, preys will see her, she’s useless” was what they used to tell each-other each time she proposed her help. They never replied directly to her, they wanted her to feel like she was invisible. She was lonely, and sad, and scared that someday she would be the prey. But it didn’t happen, because she left. She left and walked. She traveled around the desert, searching for a new place to live, a new family. But it was harder than expected, and alone she could do nothing; she thought she would die in the desert. But then, she was saved. A group of travelers found her exhausted, hungry, and thirsty, and took her with them to their camp; they took care of her, made sure she wouldn’t be in trouble… She felt safe. The travelers gave her advice so she would be able to survive by herself, because they had to continue their journey. She didn’t want to stay with them; she knew traveling wasn’t for her, she wanted a place where she could settle. And so she thanked them and went back to her own adventure. This time she was able to walk around the desert without troubles. She found the oasis, met a bunch of new people, learned new tricks and stuff… It was enough for her to continue her journey, and she never stopped until she arrived in Lygtiëm. There, she met even more people, learned even more tricks and stuff. The city was still a work in progress, because that was the policy of the… king? mayor? Nobody really knows what Yzra likes to be called. But his idea for the city was that it shouldn’t ever be considered a finished city, and everybody wishing to build a house or something was free to do so… And so Lyra got an idea. She decided to create someplace where she could welcome people like her: people with differences, who had been rejected by their family or pack, and no matter what they looked like and how special they were she would welcome them, offer them a home and some sort of comfort and family. She would be their new family, and the more people she’ll find, the more their family will extend… And so she decided to build a circus. The circus would welcome travelers and inhabitants of the city so they can have fun, enjoy a show and relieve some pressure; the advertising would help spread the news around the world, allowing people in need to hear about the circus, and give them hope that a place in Dragonhome will gladly accept them. And so, the more time passed the more she offered peace and stability to those who wanted her help: she founded a family, a pack, where everyone was different yet accepted. No matter the age, the gender, the strangeness… She gave them hope and happiness and love, much like the circus gave happiness to those coming to see the show.

Each time a show is about to begin Lyra can’t help but make a speech to her family. She wants to make sure that everyone knows that they are loved, no matter what. That even if they make a mistake and fail during the show they will not be kicked out, that they will not be less loved because of it. That the show is an entertainment, and it shouldn’t have any impact on their bond… Because they are a family, nothing should ever come between them...And each time, her family makes sure Lyra knows that they are all grateful for what she did for them; they tell her that they all feel loved and that they will all do their best to make her proud: and they’ll show her how much they love her by not doing any mistakes, by helping one another, by improvising in case any error was made. And that no matter what happens, they’ll all make sure that she is happy, because they are a family, and their family is built on happiness. |
