In a corner of the clan's land, a dozen dens stand on hills, the land around them warped and blessed by the flight that the ambassador dragon calls home. Here, black stone and a constant, night-light darkness create a shadowy cave, bordered by twisting black brambles. Many young hatchlings rest here in comfortable beds of dark purple moss, under the trusted eye of Nyx, the Ambassador of the Shadow Flight.

A quiet and enigmatic shadow of an ambassador, Nyx bears the flag of the Shadow Flight with pride. Her midnight black scales seem to almost melt into the darkness, which might be why she makes for such a good thief. Those few who have entered her dark den have noticed little trinkets and treasures from the other ambassadors, things that have gone missing, and ended up in her possession. Nothing of great wealth or importance, but still, things she's taken anyway.

Communing with her is rather difficult, as Nyx is mute. She exalts her flight with colorful paintings instead, showing the beauty of the darkness and night with vivid colors in an almost pointillist style. The colors seem to almost glow with an eerie light. Her best seem to be paintings of the Shadowbinder, the queen's dark ooze glowing with a cold, unnatural blue-purple hue as it drips from her glorious jaws.

Her den is covered with these paintings. Their unnatural light the only light in the area. It's soothing glow is too faint to disturb the rest of any sleeping dragon, but beautiful enough to often catch the eye of a young one or two who will one day set off to find a place in a Shadow Clan.
