- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "It is clear to everyone that astronomy at all events compels the soul to look upwards, and draws it from the things of this world to the other." -Plato • a b o u t • Stars bounce off of deep purple wings, twinkling with mischief and mysterious allure. Her eyes, two orbs that shimmer with knowledge and the greed for more and more, hidden behind a mask. Deep in the forests, her neck is craned always towards the sky, claws gripping pencils and papers. With the skill and expertise of a trained astronomer, she jots down the position of the planets, the coordinates of every single star her focused eyes spot. Her journal is filled to the brim with sketches of glowing constellations, and her own hands are stained with pigments. Impkith is a seer, an astronomer, a bridge between the heavenly bodies in the sky and the earth. Born of a star herself, fallen to earth after an explosion shook the skies, throwing victims down to the physical expanse. Now, she resigns herself to this mundane task— but for her, this was a way to travel to the past, to revisit the life she once led, to look back and see her brothers and sisters, still aimlessly floating through the vast expanse of space. She writes about them every day and every night, with love and admiration— and longing of course. Heavy and piercing longing for her old life. Cloudchaser has made life bearable for her here, but still, her heart reaches out to the heavens. She hopes to be able to pull herself through the thick atmosphere, to take her place up there once more and be a shining beacon to those underneath. And yet, her feet are planted strongly to the ground, wrapped in the roots of trees, wings held back by her promise to her mate. So for now, she relies on this task.
