Protect. That's all he had to do. Simple, right?

Wrong. Dead wrong.

In the flight of fear and mischief, protection was damn near impossible to come by.

But that's what Deputy was there for. Protection.

Or so he thought.

Maybe he missed the signals if there were signals. Damn.

He was tired of running, hiding. Like a coward.

He was a protector, yet he couldn't even protect himself from the horrors of the monster attacks.

Pathetic.

And now, he had to go back. For life.

No breaks, no sympathy. Nothing.

Just cold, hard war.
