On most days, one can find Kirin sitting in a circle of scrolls, both full and empty. Far from the wandering eyes of her clan, she sits quietly as memories of her young self flash through her mind. A happy family, living on lush farmland with no possible worries. But Kirin was much more than a normal farmer. She faced struggles as her claws half-consciously summoned the destruction of her home. Slowly, she learns that under the sun, she can control this strange magic. The sun became her friend, as it gave her energy, ready to burn out for this wronged dragon.

Now, the entire purpose of solitude is to be alone. Apparently Yatagaryu didn’t understand this concept. “Get out” Kirin had hissed. “Leave me be.” To Yatagaryu, she was an intimidating dragon. Nobody thought these two mages, equal in strength, would form the greatest bond in the clan. Will a relationship grow from this unique bond? That’s a mystery not even the two dragons can solve.
