BOOM! a cascade of wood and debris clattered around the deck as another of Larcen's 'experiments' ended in a cloud of fire and ashes. His men rolled their eyes and hailed an intern to clean the mess as their Captain emerged from his quarters. "Almost got it this time." he grumbles to himself, dusting off the soot from his scales.' Whiiiirrrrrr whhhiiIIIIiiirrr' his golem replied, almost as if saying "Yeah right. A l mo s t"
"Per'aps a day on these 'e dock mighta do ya good, Cap'tn?" someone shouted.
"Hmm, perhaps perhaps- but work-"
"WhiiiIIIIRRR"
"Well it d o e s need to be cleaned first-" Larcen rolled the thought over in his mind, his body spiraling in ever dizzying 8's over the ship. "Alrighty then lads, keep watch on the ship! See no harm befalls the lady, or else-"
and with that, he was off in a flash of glittering scales and lightning.
Larcen is the Pirate Captain of the Clan, occasionally gathering treasure for the Clan, also. He is suave, impatient, and a lover of beauty and gold. Unless he's trying to court a lady, his tongue is usually as quick as his Flight. He's a bit more electronically inclined than his fellow pirates, and is quite a workaholic. He is also very judgmental and untrusting, always thinking everything is a trap until he is shown otherwise. His heart lies with the sea, leaving no room for a mate at the moment.
Larcen had always been driven by his love of the sea and ocean, always near it. One day he had been driven farther inshore by a fierce storm, the water below him quickly rising in level. He kept on climbing up farther into the forest, until he thought he would be safe from the fierce water that, when tempted by the wind, would swallow up a dragon like him.
He climbed up into a tree and wound himself around the branches, so he would not fall. He woke back up when a noise rumbled behind him. He looked back and saw that water was rushing in fast to where he was and on instinct he took to the sky just in time, before water pushed against the tree he had just been in.
He traveled farther inland until the flood water ebbed away, leaving him with dry ground to walk on. He sighed, seeing that the ocean was far away, and landed lightly on the ground. He wondered what he would do now, when a large Wildclaw padded silently out of the undergrowth to in front of him.
Larcen immediately barred his teeth, claws ready to swipe out at the larger dragon if he had to. "Hello," The red and white dragon said calmly, unfazed by Larcens attitude. He looked at the Spiral for a second. "Come with me. The storm water will not be fully gone for a while." The dragon padded back into where he came from.
Larcen squinted with his one good eye at the bush that was still shaking from the mysterious dragons exit. He debated weather to trust him or not, and decided on not, before realizing that the dragon was right, and he had no where to go. The shadows of the dark forest seemed to close in on him and the pirate followed the other dragon.
They pushed past some overgrown weeds and there was a small field. The other dragon kept going and was suddenly swallowed up by the ground. Startled, Larcen padded forward carefully and saw that there was a hole covered by plants. He reluctantly jumped down into it and saw that there were many other dragons here. Someone closed some sort of hatch and Larcen back against a corner, hissing. He was right, this was a trap!
"We are not going to hurt you." A blue Pearcatcher said, soothingly. He noticed that she was dressed like a pirate, also, and he moved forward a little bit. Being trapped under ground was making him edgy.
"Why would anyone want to live here," he muttered and then heard a hiss of a dragon that had heard his last statement. Light from torches flickered on the walls Larcen began to relax a little more, and went up to the blue Pearcatcher. He learned that her name was Arien and that there were other pirates here, also.
Larcen grudgingly admitted that this Clan was not so bad, and even began to like being around the others, after a while. They asked him to join them, and after a moment, he accepted. Today he was the Pirate Caption among them, and still had as sharp a tongue as usual. Now and then he would go and gather gold for them, but mostly he stayed by the sea near his clan.
