"Would you like to see a magic trick?"

Magrathea, named for the fabled planet of the supercomputer Deep Thought, is a wildcard. He is often found coiled in midair somewhere in the lair, unnerving most clan members. But the hatchlings love him; his cheap tricks and magic thrills blow their tiny minds, often to the ire of the parents. They don't want the young dragons getting attached to the odd Spiral, but he is very good at keeping his distance.
